Ingredients:
- 1 box (16 oz) penne pasta
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 7 oz kielbasa sausage (half a package)
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic (sliced or minced)
- 16 oz pasta sauce
- ½ cup (2 oz) sharp cheddar cheese
Directions:
- Bring pot of water to boil, cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and leave in pot when finished.
- While pasta cooks, slice sausage. Heat skillet to medium and melt butter in skillet.
- Cook sausage until brown (about 4-6 minutes)
- Add onions to skillet, cook until tender (about 4 minutes)
- Add garlic to skillet, cook 1 minute
- Add pasta sauce to skillet, heat until simmering
- Empty skillet (sausage, onion, garlic, sauce) into pasta pot. Add cheese.
- Stir until combined.
