Reminder: Soak the beans overnight for best results

Ingredients
- 1 bag 15 Bean Soup
- 1 tabelspoon butter
- 7 oz kielbasa sausage, sliced
- 2 onions, sliced
- 2-4 cloves garlic (to taste)
Directions
- Soak the beans overnight in 10 cups of water
- 3 hours before serving time, strain beans, place in large pot.
- In a skillet on medium heat, melt the butter,cook sausage in butter until browned
- Add 8 cups of water to the pot, add cooked sausage, and 2 onions (sliced or chopped)
- Bring to a boil, simmer for 90-120 minutes
- Add 2-4 cloves of garlic (chopped or minced) to pot
- Boil 30 minutes
- Add the seasoning packet that came with the beans
Serve soup immediately.

After remaining soup has cooled, strain out 2 cups of broth and place in freezer-safe bag or container. We’ll use this as a vegetable broth in future weeks. Freeze broth.

Measure out 2 cups of soup for later this week. We will freeze the remaining soup (4 cups) for future weeks.
